Erin Keating is a producer, television development executive and former comic actress with deep roots in the New York comedy community.
She is currently the director of development and production at IFC TV, where she produces scripted and non-fiction comedy programming and has acted as supervising producer on shows including Portlandia, starring Fred Armisen (Broadway Video/Lorne Michaels), and the mini-series Bollywood Herostarring Chris Kattan. Previously, she was director of programming and development at Magna Global Entertainment, where she executive produced the Johnson & Johnson Spotlight series of movies on TNT, including the Emmy-nominated Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Storystarring Cuba Gooding Jr.
Erin started her career as an actor, studying theater at Oberlin College, Meisner at Ward Studioand improvisation at The Second City Training Center in New York. She performed sketch comedy with the groups Faulty Logic and Killing My Lobsterand wrote and performed several one-woman shows that appeared in festivals nationwide. Currently, Erin supports other artist-entrepreneurs through her solo performance development classes, Prototype Workshops.
She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, writer Phil Hopkins.
